I have lived in a city for over 13 years now with no car and have never ordered my groceries online. I know people that have and I have been tempted to, but it has never happened.
This article on Wisebread has made me consider giving it a go.

Pros - They bring it to your house and even carry it into your apartment for you. Less opportunity for impulse buys.
ReplyDeleteCons - Sometimes not getting what you expected. Happend in particularly with produce, but I'm sure it was a user error and not a store error.

ReplyDeleteI have used Peapod on a number of occasions - I used it more regularly when Nora (my little one) was an infant. I never had any negative issues with it at all! It was great - especially in the rain - poor driver! I found it helpful to create my menu for the week and then use it to make my Peapod list - it eliminated all of those last minute impulse buys (which in my case usually involved chocolate or Cheetos!!). Hope that helps!
